CASTLETON SERTOMA: GRANT FUNDING GUIDELINES
Castleton Sertoma’s primary areas of interest are hearing health; disadvantaged individuals, children, and families; and education.
Priority will be given to those organizations who fall under one or more of these areas of interest. Grant requests from organizations that do not align with these areas of interest MAY be considered, if the budget allows. Grants are only made to organizations with a 501(c)(3) tax status. Please see the list of past recipients (below) for past grant amounts. Castleton Sertoma will consider grant requests of any amount, but please know that requests above $5,000 may not be able to be funded in full.
The Board will review applications twice a year, in November and May. The Board typically meets on the first Wednesday of the month, therefore, grant requests will be due by the 15th day of the month preceding the month of review (October 15th and April 15th). Grant requests for the new fiscal year will be accepted beginning on July 1st each year. Therefore, if you submit a grant request after the April 15th deadline, it will not be considered in the following fiscal year’s first review.
Please note that Castleton Sertoma receives many funding requests and may not be able to grant all requests. Only one request per fiscal year (July 1-June 30) year will be considered from any organization.
