FREEDOM ESSAY CONTEST
Freedom Essay Contest: Sertoma International sponsors a Freedom Essay contest each year to encourage middle school students to reflect on what freedom means to them.
Castleton Sertoma partners with five schools each year for this contest. Fifth and sixth-grade students submit short essays addressing the topic “What Freedom Means to Me.”
Castleton Sertoma members then score the essays and invite the classroom winners and the club’s overall winner to a luncheon. The club winner then goes on to compete at the regional level.
